There has been a lot of research into meditation. But, so far, studies have not looked at the long-term effects, when people meditate for several years. Our aim is to change this; and so we developed a smartphone app that allows us to follow meditators over longer periods.
The first step now is to get some feedback about this app to “beta test” it, so to speak.
We are now inviting meditators from different meditation traditions to take part in our research project. Our study is evaluating an online survey and the smartphone app – called “ExSampla”, which we designed for investigating the daily experience of meditation practitioners.
