Thank you for your interest in our study:

Tracking meditation in daily life: Investigating effects of meditation practice.

About the study

There has been a lot of research into meditation. But, so far, studies have not looked at the long-term effects, when people meditate for several years.

Our aim is to change this; and so we developed a smartphone app that allows us to follow meditators over longer periods.

We are now inviting meditators from different traditions to take part in our research project.

Our study is investigating the daily experience of meditators so that we can explore the relationship between long-term meditation practice and wellbeing.

Who can take part?

We’re looking for Participants who:

  • Have a regular meditation practice
  • Are over 18 years of age
  • Do not have a current mental health diagnosis (e.g. anxiety disorder, major depression)
  • Have an Android or Apple iOS smartphone or tablet

What will the study involve?

  • Fill in an online survey (taking approximately 15 minutes), then –
  • Download an app to your smart device & record when you meditate over the 3 week study
  • At the end of the 21 day study you’ll be emailed a final online survey (taking approximately 10 minutes)
  • After you have completed the 21 day study, you will be entered into a prize draw to receive one of 4 prizes of a *£100 Amazon voucher for taking part [*or € / $ equivalent]
